Meet Glinda!
Glinda is a 5-month-old Dachshund mix weighing just 8.4 pounds, and she’s as sweet as they come. Rescued from a hoarding case, this gentle girl has a heart full of love and is ready to find a home where she can truly feel safe and cherished.
She is incredibly affectionate and always wants to be close to her person, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, sleeping beside you, or simply following you from room to room. Glinda has a calm, quiet nature and rarely barks, making her a peaceful and comforting companion.
Glinda is doing wonderfully in the home. She is very good in her crate and has been making great progress with house training. She typically goes outside to potty, though she may have the occasional accident if she feels nervous or unsure. With patience and reassurance, she continues to improve every day.
She loves treats and enjoys the company of other dogs, often playing gently with them. While she’s still figuring out toys, she finds comfort in having a blanket nearby—her little “security blanket” that helps her feel safe. She’s also doing well with leash walking and rides nicely in the car, though she much prefers to be curled up in your lap.
Glinda is truly a special little girl who just wants to love and be loved. She would thrive in a calm, caring home where she can continue to build confidence and be showered with the affection she deserves.
At Rat Terrier Rescue Canada we pride ourselves on matching our dogs with their best furever homes.
