THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN LOUISIANA AND WILL COME TO CANADA WITH AN ACCEPTED ADOPTION CONTRACT. PUPPIES UNDER THE AGE OF 8 MONTHS CANNOT COME TO CANADA WITHOUT AN APPROVED ADOPTER. You will not be able to meet your puppy ahead of pick up date - Rat Terrier Rescue Canada will attempt to provide you with as many pictures and videos as possible between a confirmed adoption and pick up.

Meet Dior!

Dior is one of the adorable little survivors from a recent hoarding case, and at just 12 weeks old (born January 2026) and 4 pounds, this Dachshund terrier mix is full of personality and charm.

He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you around, always wanting to be part of whatever you’re doing.

This little guy knows how to get your attention—he’ll bark to be picked up or even give a playful tug on your pant leg to let you know he’s ready for some love or playtime.

Dior enjoys spending time on the porch and will play with just about anything he can find, making every moment fun and lively.

He’s already doing well with his routine, using puppy pads for potty time and sleeping in his crate at night.

Dior would thrive in a home where he can get lots of attention, playtime, and affection as he continues to grow and learn.

Puppies under 1 year - $775
Young adult 1 year - 5 years $650
Adults 6 years - 9 years $575
Seniors 10+ $325

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.

The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion. We gratefully accept any amount above the adoption fee as a donation used to support our mission to save as many dogs as possible.
