I’m Draco around 3-year-old, 13-pound Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with a reddish-brown coat and a heart that’s much bigger than my tiny body.

I came from Mexico, where my brother Harry and I lived on the streets for most of our lives. Even though my story sounds a little like some of my friends’, my heart tells it in its own quiet way.

Today I’m happy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and house-trained—and I’m finally ready to find my forever home.

I’m available for adoption in Ridgefield, WA, and for the right family, I can travel to Vancouver, BC.

My Story

I know I don’t run up to people the way my brother Harry does.
He leads with confidence… and I lead with caution.

But please don’t overlook me.

Behind my shyness is a heart that loves deeply—maybe even more.

When you first meet me, I might hang back and watch from a safe little spot. Not because I don’t want love… but because I want to make sure I’m safe before I give you my whole heart.

But here’s my secret…

If you pick me up, I melt.

Completely.

I become your little love bug instantly. I relax into you, resting my head gently like I’ve finally found where I belong. I absolutely love to cuddle and will happily jump into your lap and stay there as long as you let me.

If you’re looking for a true cuddle companion—someone who won’t want to leave your side—you’ve found him.

Who I Am

I’m sweet.
I’m gentle.
I’m soft in all the ways that matter.

I love being close to my person and will quietly follow you from room to room just to be near you.

I sleep peacefully in my crate all night, and I do very well with other dogs—I actually enjoy their company and play nicely with them. I also don’t mind cats and can live peacefully alongside them.

I’m not loud or pushy. I don’t demand attention.
But when you give me love, I hold onto it with my whole heart.

My Ideal Home

Because I’m a sensitive little guy, I would do best in a calm, quiet home—ideally with a single woman or a mature couple.

A home without young children would be best for me, where I can feel safe and build trust at my own pace.

Once I know I’m safe, I become incredibly affectionate, loyal, and deeply connected to my person.

What I Dream About

A home filled with patience.

A warm lap where I can curl up every day.

A gentle voice that reminds me I’m safe.

Because once I trust you, I will love you with every ounce of my tiny little heart.
