Peanut is a delightful Dachshund–Hound mix whose name fits him perfectly. Just over one year old, he was surrendered through no fault of his own and can be a bit reserved at first. Once he feels comfortable, Peanut's true personality shines—sweet, curious, and full of quiet charm.
Peanut enjoys being held and feels safest in the arms of someone he trusts. He walks calmly on leash, has a low prey drive, and does well with older children. Peanut enjoys the company of polite dogs and prefers gradual introductions. As a young dog, he is still building confidence and will continue to thrive with patience, consistency, and love.
Peanut is crate trained and content to relax with a toy or take a cozy nap, though he would much prefer sharing his time with a special person. He's ready to form a strong bond and would make a wonderful companion in a calm, caring home.
Could Peanut be the perfect match for you?
