Malik hails from Texas - he was homeless and wandered the streets with his brother. Malik has the look of a puppy, but the smarts of an older dog. He is very well behaved, respectful and potty trained. He loves to be snuggled and close to people. If you leave the room, so will he. He sleeps through the night in bed with people & dogs and is in no hurry to get up early. We do not crate him as he is such a good pup.
Malik has a gentle and quiet demenour. He is happy and pefers to spend his time snuggling and being pet. He will let you hold him like a baby - on his back - so you can rub his belly or rock him in the rocking chair. We are not sure how he does with cats, but he likes kids and does wonderful with our two older resident dogs. We are working everyday on leash walking. He likes to be the caboose and walk slowly behind everyone else. He prefers to roam around the fenced yard.
His foster mom works from home so Malik is going out every couple hours. He knows how to do stairs and is a great jumper - he can get himself up on the bed and couch with no trouble. He has been with us about a week and is just starting to show some interest in his toys.
Malik is currently being fostered in Edgerton and shares a home with two adults, two kids and two dogs. 26 pounds, neutered and up to date on all his shots and preventatives.
