Courtesy post for two dogs needing homes by May 29th (we have a Plan B foster already lined up for Rex, the larger dog; he was one of our dogs; foster will take him back if he's not adopted)
🏡 Rex & Buddha Need New Homes 🏡
These two sweet boys are looking for loving homes due to unexpected housing changes. Rex was adopted through Animal Rescue of New England in 2024, and now both pups are in need of either adopters or foster-to-adopt trial homes.

🐶 Rex
Almost 2 years old (DOB 6/9/2024) • ~40 lbs
Rex is a fun-loving, energetic boy who absolutely LOVES to play ball — but the quickest way to his heart is a good chest rub. He’s incredibly affectionate and wants to be as close to his people as possible. Rex does great with other animals, children, and people. He is crate trained, house trained, and enjoys both fenced yard playtime and walks.
He’s also quite the talker and isn’t shy about letting you know when he wants to go outside or cuddle up on the bed. Rex has improved greatly with car rides and has been doing very well recently.
Rex is neutered and had his initial vaccines, but is not currently up to date on veterinary care or flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
🐶 Buddha (“Booty”)
3 years old (DOB 12/19/2022) • ~22 lbs
Buddha is an affectionate little shadow who simply wants to cuddle, give kisses, and be near his people. He loves to play ball, go for walks, and has done wonderfully with other dogs, children, people, and even foster puppies in the past.
He’s smart, playful, and has a hilarious personality — including being a bit vocal and “talking back” at times. Buddha is crate trained and mostly house trained, though he can mark occasionally. Washable diapers have helped significantly.
Buddha has been known to be an escape artist, so a secure leash or fenced area is important for his safety.
He is not neutered, had only his initial vaccines, and is not currently on flea/tick or heartworm prevention.

💙 Adoption fees are waived for both dogs.
