Hi, I'm Gus — your future best friend, adventure buddy, and full-time cuddle expert. I'm affectionate, playful, and full of joy. If there's fun happening, I want in! I'm a tall, lanky guy with lots of energy, so I'll need an active family who's ready to play, explore, and keep up with me. I get along great with other dogs and kids. In fact, I love other dogs. I play constantly with my foster siblings, and when it's time to rest, I make sure I'm touching them — even in my sleep. I've learned so much from them. Having fur siblings would be a dream for me. I'm house trained and crate trained. I can handle the crate just fine (I haven't been crated longer than about three hours), and when my people step out for a bit, I'm perfectly fine hanging out in the house. I don't chew things I shouldn't — I'm a good boy like that. I walk nicely on a leash around the yard (the streets have been too snowy for big adventures), and I do great in the car and at the vet. I already know commands like “come,” “out,” “stop,” my name, and the very important word... “cookie.” I'm smart and eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. I'm also pretty passive and easygoing — I just want to be part of the action and part of a family. At the end of the day, I am 100% a cuddle dog. I love being touched, snuggled, and sleeping right next to you (or on you). Whether it's with my dog friends or my humans, I need that connection. If you're sitting down, I'm probably leaning on you.
