The Heart Part
Duke is a little shy at first, and you can tell he's had to be careful with his trust... but he is so incredibly sweet. He may hesitate for a moment, but once you start loving on him, he just melts into you like he's been waiting on that comfort his whole life.
Calm, Gentle Energy
For being only a year old, Duke is surprisingly calm. He's not wild or chaotic — he's more of a “quiet companion” who just wants to be near you and feel safe.
Smart + Trainable
Duke already knows sit, shake, and he even sits “pretty” up on his hind legs . He's learning more every day because he's a smart boy who truly wants to do things right.
Manners + Easy Companion
Great on a leash — walks are smooth and easy with him.
He's not totally sure about a crate yet, but once he's in, he settles quickly and does just fine.
Sweet Soul
We have 5-week-old puppies here, and when they make noise Duke is the first one to check on them — trying to comfort them like a little babysitter. It's the gentlest thing to watch.

Duke does wonderful with other dogs and is great with kids too. He is a very intimidated with cats.
