DESCRIPTION
Meet Dexter, a handsome Cocker Spaniel mix ready to fill your home with love! Dexter is a happy, bouncy pup who loves heading out on sniffy walks to explore, but who is also more than happy to snuggle up for some quality couch time at the end of the day! He lived with a cat in his previous home, and might be able to go home with a cat with a slow intro. At the shelter, Dexter has enjoyed spending time with a few dog friends, so we think he might do well with a mellow canine sibling. Dexter adores his people and prefers to stick close, so he'll need a little help feeling secure when left alone. The good news? You’ll always have a devoted, loving shadow by your side!
ABOUT: COCKER SPANIEL DOG BREED
The Cocker Spaniel is a beloved breed known for its distinct charm, intelligence, and affectionate nature. With origins as hunting dogs, Cocker Spaniels have adapted to become popular family pets due to their playful demeanor and gentle disposition. These medium sized dogs boast a silky coat that requires regular grooming to maintain its luster. Cocker Spaniels thrive on human interaction and make excellent companions for individuals and families alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
