Meet Harper, a special girl who is looking for her special person. She is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a quiet, soulful connection. She show’s her devotion by simply being near you and always keeping you in her sight. She is a mellow, sweet girl who just wants to feel safe and loved.

Harper is a master of comfort, often gathering all her blankets to create the perfect, cozy nest for her nap. Because Harper is deaf and has a cataract in one eye, she navigates the world with a quiet resilience. She isn't a barker—in fact, her foster hasn't heard a peep from her! This makes her an ideal candidate for apartment living or a peaceful neighborhood. She is friendly and curious with other dogs, and while she isn't much for rough play, she enjoys their company and would do well in a home with another calm canine friend or as your one-and-only.

Harper still has a spring in her step and truly looks forward to her multiple daily walks. She is a dream on a leash and a quiet traveler who loves sticking her head out the window during short car rides to the coffee shop drive thru.

Harper is house-trained and has done a wonderful job using pee pads when needed.

The ideal home for Harper is one where her people are home most of the time to keep her company. Since she cannot hear, she needs a family who will look out for her on walks and approach her with a gentle touch. In return, Harper will provide you with steady loyalty and the joy of watching her happily toss a favorite toy (or a stray hat!) around the living room.

Harper has recently shown us just what a resilient girl she is. She successfully underwent a mass removal surgery on her right side, and we were thrilled to learn that the biopsy results were completely benign. In a few weeks, she will have similar surgery on her left side. This second surgery will be covered by the rescue; Harper would love to recover from this surgery with her forever family. Despite these medical hurdles, Harper remains just as sweet and gentle as ever.
