Roosevelt is an approximately 2-year-old Chocolate Labrador mix with a big heart, an adventurous spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. She’s full of joyful energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life, and she brings that classic Lab happiness wherever she goes.
Roosevelt is confident, social, and outgoing, greeting new people with excitement and an ever-wagging tail. She loves attention, enjoys being part of the action, and thrives when she’s included in daily life. One of her favorite things? Water. If there’s a hose, a puddle, or a splash zone nearby, Roosevelt will happily make it her playground.
She’s a high-energy, playful girl who would do best in an active, structured home that can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, and clear boundaries. While she’s sweet and affectionate at heart, Roosevelt can be a bit stubborn at times and will benefit from consistent training and confident leadership to help her grow into her best self.
Roosevelt does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she’s confident enough to thrive as an only dog too. Her play style can be enthusiastic, and she may try to take charge during play, so supervision around toys and food is recommended. She loves group settings and is happiest when she has space to run, play, and burn off energy.
This girl is still learning the basics — potty training, leash skills, and crate training — but she’s smart, eager, and more than capable with the right guidance. With structure, patience, and love, Roosevelt will make an incredible companion for someone ready to match her zest for life.

The Truth About Rescue:
Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.
Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — strong, joyful, and exactly who they were meant to be. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.
