Skye is a beautiful, gentle girl who may be a little timid at first, but she’s already learning that the world isn’t so scary and that she’s safe. With a little time and patience, her true personality starts to shine—and it’s absolutely worth the wait.

Once she feels comfortable, Skye is incredibly sweet and loving. She’s been known to greet people with kisses and has a soft, affectionate nature that continues to grow as she comes out of her shell. She loves to run and play, especially with other dogs, and truly thrives in their company.

Skye is the total package—she is great with kids, cats, and dogs (of all sizes!), making her a wonderful fit for a variety of homes. She’s also potty trained and has been doing well when left alone with other dogs.

Her ideal home would be a multi-pet household, as she gains confidence from having other dogs around. She can experience some separation anxiety, which is eased by the presence of other dogs, so she would do best with a family that is home more often than not.

She’s already had some great life experiences, too. Skye rides well in the car, has gone on outings (including a trip to Petco), and has been meeting new people. She walks nicely on a leash and continues to gain confidence with each new experience.

Skye will need a patient, loving family who will give her the time she needs to decompress and adjust to her new home—but once she does, she will blossom into an incredible, loving companion. She’s ready to make a lucky family very happy.

This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason.
