Chiweenie Dogs Available for Adoption

Boomerang is an 11ish month old neutered chiweenie mix who weighs 14.4 lbs. He is an absolute lovebug who would love nothing more than to be by your side at all times. Boomer is potty trained and has had no accidents in any of his foster homes. He sleeps in his kennel overnight without a whine or whimper, as long as you are in the same room as him. He will also nap in his kennel during the day as long as you are nearby. Boomer is an excellent walker and can walk for miles and miles, but he would also be perfectly content playing with his squeaky toys or gnawing on his chews at home.

What Boomer struggles most with is separation anxiety, so we would like to place him with a foster who works from home and/or does not have shared walls. When left alone, he will bark, but he is quiet throughout the day otherwise. He is currently sharing a home with another small dog and two cats. He barked at the cats until he realised they weren't squirrels and were, in fact, his size, so any household with cats should be aware that there might be some barking in the beginning. He now regularly uses his feline brother and canine sister as his pillow. He plays with some of the dogs at our sanctuary, but isn't a big fan of sharing attention and affection with puppies, so he'd do best solo or with a dog who wouldn’t mind being his pillow.
