Meet Almond Joy!

Almond Joy lives up to her name perfectly — sweet, delightful, and impossible not to love. As the biggest girl in the Chocolate Litter, she has a big heart to match her size. Almond Joy has a gentle, loving personality and enjoys soaking up attention from the people around her. She’s the kind of puppy who brings a little extra sweetness wherever she goes.

Her story began when her mama, a 25-lb Chiweenie mix stray, found a quiet place on a Good Samaritan’s porch to safely deliver her puppies. Once the family was discovered, they were welcomed into Mutts N Such Rescue where they could grow and thrive. Instead of facing the challenges of life outside, they were given warmth, safety, and the care they needed. Their dad is unknown, but their mama clearly passed along plenty of sweetness.

Almond Joy enjoys playing with toys, exploring new things, and cuddling up when it’s time to rest. She loves being held and relaxes easily when she feels safe and comfortable. As a young puppy, she will need patience, continued training, and a family willing to guide her as she grows. With love and structure, she will become a wonderful lifelong companion. Almond Joy was born in January 2026 and fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
