Say Hi to Leo.....a 5 week old male Chihuahua mix (D.O.B approx 1/17/26). He is a typical loving and playful puppy that is very social and will do well with other dogs, cats and children.
He will be neutered prior to adoption, vaccines age appropriate, wormed for intestinal parasites and microchipped. He has been started on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative. All dogs shed and most of our dogs are mix breeds and are not recommended for any person suffering with allergies.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
***Please be advised you must live in or near the Tampa area and be able to provide an established veterinary reference to adopt from our organization and no children under 6 years please. Preference is given to homeowners and with some breeds we will not consider renters of any type.
1. Submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. It can take 3 - 7 days to process an application. Please notify your vet's office that we may be contacting them and to release information to us.
2. Application background check, vet reference and verification of home ownership. If we are considering a renter, landlords are contacted to ensure breed and size of dog is permitted and if a pet deposit is required.
3. You will ONLY be contacted via email if your application has been pre-approved and we wish to arrange a meet n greet. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs and due to high volume apologize that we are unable to respond to everyone.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
