DESCRIPTION
Sharkesha and her 8 siblings ended up at the San Diego Humane Society after their owner passed away. The shelter reached out to us on their behalf, and we welcomed them all on April 20th.
Sharkesha is 8 years old and weighs 8 lbs. She went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about her in a home environment while she received loving care. Her foster mom shares:
"Sharkesha gets better by the day! No accidents since her first week here, and we've got her on a great routine with plenty of outside time (she still can't seem to get enough). She's very polite, especially on walks, and always waits for your lead. She remains unbothered by other dogs or children at play; she'll look, and then carry on about her day as long as you're with her.
At home, Sharkesha is still sensitive to sudden sounds, but overall, she seems comfortable, especially with the several beds and rooms she has to choose from to rest . Every hour or so, she'll "do her rounds" and as long as she sees I'm still at my desk (when I'm working), she'll trot right back to her place and go back to sleep. She bonds deeply.
We think Sharkesha will do best in a home with another gentle dog, so she can continue to blossom and receive all the love she deserves. We hope someone will consider fostering (or better yet - adopting) her soon!"
