Cannoli spent a couple weeks in foster care to help his skin heal (he had some infections/hair loss due to his prior living situation) and there is no better way to learn about a dog than in a home environment. He is all healed up and back in at the rescue. His foster mom had so many great things to say about this little guy - here are a few nuggets:
Cannoli has so much personality!
Baths are pretty much the only thing Cannoli doesn’t like (but he tolerates them).
If I had to choose three words to describe Cannoli they would be playful and curious and affectionate
He loves all toys but is a bit of a destroyer and will sometimes tear up a stuffie. He is a thief (in the cutest possible way) and I find things (like my slippers or my blanket) in his dog bed.
Cannoli has a good appetite. He finishes his meals and never refuses a treat. In his foster home he gets pieces of banana, sweet potato, apple, frozen blueberries, and tiny milk ones with a dab of peanut butter. Cannoli has not found a treat he doesn’t love and he waits patiently and takes them very gently from your hand.
Cannoli’s energy level is fairly low. He will occasionally get the zoomies but mostly loves to cuddle and take lots of naps. I can’t say enough about this guy
Loves other dogs (fostered with one!)
Great with the young grandchildren in the home
Come on in and meet this adorable guy!
If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open 11-5 pm.
