At about 1 year old and 9 pounds, this long-haired Chihuahua mix isn’t here for a full boil — she’s all about the slow, steady warm-up that turns into something really special. Simmer came into rescue with her friend Brewin’, and together they prove that good things take time… and maybe a few snacks along the way.

Simmer is a sensitive, social girl who feels things deeply and loves gently. She’s the kind of pup who takes in the room, reads the vibe, and then eases her way into your heart like she’s been there all along. Give her a little patience and a soft approach, and she’ll meet you with quiet affection, cozy snuggles, and those soft, “you’re my person” eyes.

She’s also highly motivated by treats and friendship — ideally both at the same time. Whether she’s sharing space with other dogs or enjoying a calm moment with her humans, Simmer thrives in connection. She doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to be noticed. She just needs a moment, and then she shines.

Simmer can be adopted with Brewin’ or on her own, depending on what your home is brewing up. Either way, she’s ready to settle in and become part of something warm and wonderful.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her 4DX test is negative for heartworm and tick-borne disease, because even slow-and-steady sweethearts believe in staying healthy.
