At about 1 year old and 9 pounds, this long-haired Chihuahua mix is a gentle little soul who prefers life on the low setting. Brewin’ came into rescue with his friend Simmer, and while she might warm up a bit faster, he’s more of a slow steep — thoughtful, cautious, and taking everything in at his own pace.

Brewin’ is on the shy side, but there’s a quiet sweetness about him that makes you want to lean in a little closer. He’s not here for the spotlight right away. He’s here to observe, process, and then, when he feels safe, offer you the kind of connection that feels calm, genuine, and completely earned. It’s not hesitation — it’s intention.

He finds comfort in gentle companionship, whether that’s with other dogs or kind, patient humans. Having a confident friend around (like Simmer) helps him feel a little braver, a little faster — like he’s learning that the world might not be so overwhelming after all. And when that confidence starts to brew? It’s something special to watch.

Brewin’ enjoys the simple things: a soft place to land, a calm environment, and the occasional treat offered with kindness. He doesn’t ask for much — just a little patience and a lot of heart. In return, he’ll give you a quiet kind of love that settles in deep and stays there.

He can be adopted with Simmer or on his own, depending on what feels like the right blend for your home. Either way, Brewin’ is ready to find his place and slowly, surely come into his own.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His 4DX test is negative for heartworm and tick-borne disease, because even the most low-key companions believe in staying healthy.
