Meet Dolly, a 11⁄2-year-old long-haired Dachshund mix who looks like she stepped straight out of a 1940s pin-up poster and into her foster family's living room. With her gorgeous honey-maple coat, sweet expression, and perfectly ladylike manners, she's the kind of doll a fellow might write home about.

Dolly is a quiet, gentle little lady who doesn't need a lot of fuss. She simply wants to be wherever her people are. Give her a cozy spot nearby and a few good scritches, and she's a happy girl.

Her domestic skills are already top-notch:
Completely house trained
Learning her kennel routine beautifully
Sleeps all night without making a peep
Good with other dogs
Loves her people and being close to them

Dolly is a little unsure of the bigger fellas, so she would be happiest with smaller, respectful canine companions. And honestly, she's not looking for a life of high adventure anyway. A quiet, low-activity home would suit this little lady just fine, with or without another dog.

She's sweet, easygoing, beautifully mannered, and ready to trade her foster-home uniform for a permanent address.
