Chihuahua Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Cowboy, an 8-year-old, 5.2-pound chocolate-and-cream Chihuahua with the softest coat and the sweetest heart. He joined the CAWS family after being found as a stray, and he has been an absolute little treasure ever since.

Cowboy recently received some much-needed medical care and is now feeling so much better--bright, happy, and ready for his forever home. He's fully house- and crate-trained and has had zero accidents in his foster home as long as he's let out regularly.

This tiny gentleman is full of love. He gives gentle kisses, adores cuddling with his people, and even grooms the ears of his dog friends--it's unbelievably endearing. Cowboy gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and both genders. He sleeps in bed with his humans, lounges on the couch, and makes an excellent "work-from-home assistant."

Because of his delicate size, Cowboy needs a calm home without small children or a rowdy environment. He can be vocal initially when crated, so he cannot live in an apartment or home with shared walls. He also shouldn't be crated for long periods--he much prefers being near his people.

Cowboy loves spending time outside, so a securely fenced yard is required for his future home. He enjoys wandering, sniffing, and relaxing at his own pace.

This boy is pure joy--sweet, unique, gentle, and full of life. Cowboy deserves a home where he will feel safe, secure, and unconditionally loved for all the years ahead (and trust us, he's got plenty left!).

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
