Hi! I'm Leslie Lutsen, and if you're looking for a tiny best friend with a huge zest for life...I'm your girl!

I was just a tiny, big-eared baby when I was adopted back in October 2025. Sadly, through no fault of my own, I recently found myself back at BARC.

But guess what? I'm back in foster care, and I'm happier than ever!

It only took me a minute to remember that I could do the stairs (I was really little when I left!), and now I race up and down them like a pro.

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's this... I am basically the Energizer Bunny!

I LOVE to play! Whether it's chasing my foster brothers and sisters around the backyard, zooming through the house, or making new friends, I'm always ready for my next adventure. Dogs? Love them. People? Love them. Life? I LOVE IT!

When I'm not busy playing, I'm a professional cuddle bug. My favorite place to sleep is snuggled in bed with my people and my foster siblings, but I'm also perfectly happy curling up in the crate beside the bed with whichever pup is keeping me company.

I'm also a pretty big fan of mealtime (because who isn't? ), and I'll never say no to a tasty snack.

My foster mom says I've finally grown into my ears...but I still think they're my best feature!

I'm looking for a family who wants a happy, affectionate little shadow that will keep them smiling every single day. If you have room in your heart (and maybe a spot on your bed), I promise I'll fill your home with love, laughter, and endless tail wags.

*This animal will be attending our Summer of Love Adoption Event at the Mall of America on Sunday, August 16th, from 11am-1pm. If you're interested in adopting, you must attend the event in person and be prepared to take the animal home that same day. Adoptions will be handled on-site only-please do not submit an online application prior to the event. Adoption decisions are made at the discretion of our staff and fosters. With a compact and muscular build, these dogs are energetic and make excellent companions for active individuals and families. Rat Terriers are adept at a variety of activities, from hunting to obedience training, thanks to their keen intelligence and eager to please nature. Their short coat requires minimal grooming, making them low maintenance pets. Overall, the Rat Terrier is a spirited and loyal breed, well suited to various lifestyles.
