Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Needed for Betsy!

Meet sweet little **Betsy**

This adorable 10-year-old Chihuahua weighs just **8 pounds** and is searching for a loving foster or foster-to-adopt home. Despite everything she's been through, Betsy is a happy little girl who loves spending time outside, playing with other dogs, and snuggling with her people.

**About Betsy:**
Approximately 10 years old
8 pounds
Spayed
Up-to-date on vaccines
Heartworm and tick-borne disease negative
Negative fecal test
Senior bloodwork and urinalysis look great
Good with dogs and cats
Crate trained

Betsy is a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes a devoted cuddle bug who just wants to be by your side.

Unfortunately, due to previously neglected medical care, Betsy suffers from severe dry eye that has caused some vision impairment. She is unable to produce tears on her own and will require daily eye medications for the rest of her life to keep her eyes comfortable and preserve the vision she has remaining.

She also has significant dental disease and will be scheduled for a dental procedure with one of our partner veterinarians.

Betsy is working on her potty training and will do best with a consistent routine and schedule. She is eager to learn and thrives with patience and structure.

**Foster homes must be located within one hour of the Metro Detroit area.**
