I may be small, but I have a big, bouncy personality. I’m playful, goofy, and full of energy, and I love walks, zoomies, and making my favourite human laugh. Once I bond with you, I bond deeply—I’m loyal, affectionate, and happiest when I’m close to my person.
I do well with calm, respectful introductions to people and dogs, and I enjoy meeting other dogs with slow, thoughtful greetings. Sudden surprises can startle me, but I settle quickly with reassurance (and treats!). At home, I’m cuddly, loving, and very much a Velcro dog.
I’m house-trained, great on leash, and know several basic commands like sit, down, and bed. I’m very food motivated and love learning. I do best with daily exercise and multiple walks to keep me happy and balanced.
I can struggle with being left alone and don’t enjoy crates or closed rooms, which can lead to vocalizing. I’ve also shown some resource-guarding behaviors with my person in specific situations, so I’d thrive best in an adult-only or older-teen home with someone experienced and comfortable providing structure and guidance.
My ideal home is calm and dog-savvy, ideally with a yard and people around more often than not. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful companion with a huge personality and a heart ready to choose you, I might just be your Tito!
Negrito was born approximately April 2020 and is a small dog.
