This adorable senior Chihuahua recently joined our rescue from a local shelter, and it didn't take long for everyone to fall in love. Gerald is the definition of a Velcro dog. He wants to be close to his person every chance he gets, happily following you from room to room just to make sure he doesn't miss a thing.

His absolute favorite place, though, is in your arms. Gerald loves to be held and will melt into you when you cradle him on his back like a baby. If cuddling were an Olympic sport, we're pretty sure he'd bring home the gold!

Gerald has such a gentle, tender-hearted personality. He isn't demanding or high maintenance. He simply wants to love and be loved, and he's happiest when he's close to the people he trusts.

He's currently getting a little TLC after arriving at the rescue. He recently had a much-needed dental cleaning to give him a healthier, happier smile, and we're treating a runny nose that's already improving. Other than that, this sweet little gentleman is doing great and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.
