Dulce means “sweet” and I can be a very sweet, little cuddler. My person surrendered my sister, Gabby, and me. It has been a difficult transition for me. I will need time to adjust to any new home. Once I know I am safe, I am ok and when I see you coming, I get excited and wiggle and jump around to let you know how happy I am. I like to be held but when you go to pick me up, I will lay flat on the floor because I’m not sure what to expect. It took me a long time to come out of my crate and even longer to come out of my safe room and explore this new house. I would rather be in a home with either no other dogs or just one other dog. I tend to get nervous with a lot of dogs around. I would rather be on my own. I can use the doggie door to go outside but I need reminders of when to go. I like to eat alone so no one else tries to take my food as I eat slower than others. I very much like to snuggle on my foster’s lap. I enjoy treats and take them very gently. I like to bury myself in a blanket in my bed during the day when I am not on a lap and I like to be under the covers of my foster’s bed at night. Adjusting to a new home might be a little difficult for me so I need someone who can be patient with me and let me progress at my own pace. Is that you?
