Allie (Alice) is a Deer-Head Chihuahua. She did not get a pleasant start in life. Born in a breeding facility and kept there with the intent of using her for breeding, she was destined to fulfill her days in a filthy crate, waiting for her time to produce and line the pockets of her human.
However, because of the filthy conditions and the unsanitary condition of the breeder's facility, local law enforcement shut down the operation and placed Allie with the local animal shelter.
Unfortunately, the animal shelters and pounds throughout Oklahoma only grant incoming animals a three-day stray hold. If not adopted or pulled by rescue, they are euthanized, even the healthy furbabies.
Allie was lucky to have been pulled by Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN foster momma Felicia. She now has a second chance at life and we are committed to making sure she gets the home and family that she truly deserves.
Allie is estimated to be 2-3 years of age. She is fully grown and weighs in at 7.6#. She does well with other dogs and cats. She is doing really well on leash and potty training. She has a large, securely fenced yard by day, with access to a heated building and she is crate-trained at night. She does keep her crate clean and dry.
Allie is truly a lap dog and loves to cuddle with her human. She is the perfect size for those families that travel. Allie would love to have a stay at home pet parent.
Since Veterinary Schedules are full, Allie's Spay appointment is scheduled for April. Therefore, Allie is eligible for our Foster to Adopt Program. The family will assume the care of Allie and final adoption transfer will occur upon her spay procedure. (Rescue's financial responsibility.)
If you are interested in giving Allie the home and family that she deserves, please visit our website: almosthomefoster.com and submit an application.
Allie is sure to capture the hearts of many.
