Meet Pepito 💛 Pepito may be small, but his personality (and heart) is absolutely huge. This sweet little guy is the definition of a “low-key cuddle bug” — happiest curled up beside you, soaking in pets, or snoozing the day away with his favourite people nearby.
💛 At just a couple of years old, Pepito has so much life, love, and joy ahead of him. He’s affectionate, easygoing, and quietly confident, with just a touch of initial shyness in new environments. Give him a moment (and maybe a treat), and he’ll be leaning into you for cuddles in no time.
💛 One of Pepito’s most adorable quirks? He loves to sit up on his hind legs like a little meerkat — it’s guaranteed to make you smile every single time.
💛 Pepito’s adoption will look a little different. He will be placed in a foster-to-adopt home while we get him fitted for a custom wheelchair. Due to previously broken legs that healed with deformities, Pepito currently has limited use of his front legs. He gets around in his own unique way (and even gets the occasional zoomies!), but a wheelchair will open up a whole new world for him — and we can’t wait to see him thrive. He already enjoys going on “walks” in his stroller (his favourite way to explore), and we’re pretty confident he’s going to LOVE zooming around once his wheels arrive.
💛 Pepito is a very low-energy, easy companion. His ideal day includes: Short stroller outings with some sniff breaks, A few steps and exploration at his own pace, Cozy naps (lots of them!), A short evening play session with his toys, Snuggles… always snuggles! He’s quiet, well-mannered, and happily settles when left alone for a few hours. At night, he sleeps soundly and loves being close to his people.
💛 Pepito doesn’t need a lot — just the right setup and a whole lot of love. His ideal home includes: Minimal stairs (or someone happy to carry him when needed), An open-concept layout so he can move around easily, Carpet or rugs for better grip, Easy outdoor access for bathroom breaks (apartments are totally fine!), A calm environment without high-energy dogs or young children, He’d do well with calm, respectful dogs, but he’s also perfectly happy doing his own thing. 💛 A Few Things to Know: Pepito is housetrained but may mark, so supervision and routine help set him up for success. He can’t safely jump on/off furniture or navigate stairs independently. He’s lightweight (15–20 lbs) and will need help being lifted at times. He’s a bit of a picky eater and prefers to graze throughout the day. He LOVES bully sticks, treats, and anything that involves being spoiled. 💛 Pepito is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs. He’s resilient, gentle, and endlessly sweet — the kind of companion who will quietly follow you from room to room, curl into you on the couch, and make even the simplest moments feel special. He doesn’t let his challenges define him — and with the support of a loving home and his future wheelchair, he’s only going to shine brighter.
