DESCRIPTION
This bat-eared little boy is Duncan. Like most small breeds, he'll probably have his ears pinned back and be shaking like a leaf, but he quickly warms up to all nice people with gentle pets and delicious treats and may even claim a human as his favorite within the first couple snuggles. He is more hesitant towards men, but never mean, so slow introductions and quality time together are important. Truly, you may never meet another small dog like him. He is quiet throughout the day (except for some excited whimpers during play time), unbothered by noises outside or other neighborhood dogs. He likes to see what you're up to most of the time and will 10/10 always win a staring contest. Duncan will take snuggles over everything, but he also respects your space when you ask for it and plays well by himself. He is a natural at fetch and politely drops the ball in front of you for another toss. Even if he doesn't stand a chance getting to the ball first when playing with his big 60-lb foster brother, he's always in the race and pops right back up with excitement if his foster brother accidentally bowls him over. He will almost always be the smallest boy in the room, so he appreciates slow introductions to dogs. Duncan is crate-trained for when you leave and at bedtime. He is *so close* to being potty trained and will conquer that soon now that he's figured out how to communicate this need. He does well walking on a leash even at a quick pace, although he needs encouragement to be brave around loud noises and passing vehicles. He seems to prefer zooming around the yard and indoor play. He shows no signs of food or toy aggression. Duncan would be happy in many different lifestyles. He just can't wait to meet his forever family for forever snuggles who also likes to play fetch and let him zoom around the yard.
