Meet Bert!
Tiny but full of personality, Bert is a 2-year-old, 56 pound long-haired Chihuahuatype mix (maybe with a little Pomeranian?) who brings a big presence in a very small package. With his upright ears and watchful expression, Bert is always tuned in to whats happening around him.
Bert is a thoughtful, observant little guy who likes to take his time getting to know new people. He may be a bit unsure with fast movements and needs a day or two to feel comfortable, but once he settles in, his affectionate side really shines. Before long, hell be happily curled up next to his person, enjoying the comfort of being close.
He enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing with soft toys, and doing his own thing nearby. Like many little dogs, Bert prefers to keep his toys to himself and appreciates having his own space. He does well with other dogs his size, though he can be a bit selective about his friends.
Because of his sensitive nature, Bert would do best in a calm homelikely without small childrenwhere his new family will give him the time and patience he needs to build trust. In return, hell become a loyal, loving companion who bonds closely with his people.
Bert is making good progress with house training and will use both outdoor potty breaks and pads as he continues to learn.
