Chihuahua and Mountain Cur Dogs Available for Adoption in Hopkinton, Massachusetts

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Sassy! Sassy is approximately 11 months old, 15 lb currently, and he may have some Chihuahua in her mix! In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate-training, and leash walking. She could join households with kids 10+, cats and other dogs.

Her foster says, "Sassafras has really come out of her shell. She enjoys doggy daycare and her new friends. She is super sweet, snuggly, and will make a great addition to the family. She might be extremely shy and submissive upon meeting new people, but will warm up with patience and love. Her black brindle markings are beautiful. She has the look of a big hound dog in a tiny, little body. Sassafras (aka Sassy) was rescued from a hoarding situation where the family pups were allowed to freely breed. We took in the two females to get them spayed right away. The remainder were rescued shortly after. Sassy is up to date on immunizations/heartworm prevention. She is doing well with potty training, but needs work on a leash.
