Meet Belle!

Belle is a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix with a gentle soul who is feeling very overwhelmed in the rescue environment. Right now, she often finds comfort hiding in a corner, trying to make sense of all the new sights, sounds, and people around her.

Though shy, Belle shows sweet glimpses of who she truly is. She likes other dogs and feels most at ease around them-having a confident canine friend could really help her learn that the world isn't so scary. She'll happily take treats when they're gently tossed her way and you give her space to enjoy them, and she's even bravely gone on a leash walk, even though she was still nervous.

You may notice that one of Belle's eyes is clouded. She has been seen by a vet, and they confirmed it does not cause her any discomfort and does not require any medical care. It simply gives her a slightly unique look - just one more thing that makes her special.

Belle is the kind of girl who just needs time, patience, and understanding. In a calm, loving home where she can move at her own pace, we know she will slowly gain confidence and blossom into an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Watching Belle come out of her shell will be a truly special journey for the person willing to give her that chance.
