Margarita

Margarita is a tiny Chihuahua mix puppy born 11/27/25 to mama Brandy. She is currently a small, delicate little girl as you would expect for her age and breed, and she will remain a small dog when full grown. She is part of a litter of six and is now at our rescue in Van Nuys waiting to meet her forever family.

Margarita has a soft, gentle personality. She is one of the sweeter and more sensitive puppies in the group and tends to observe before jumping into the chaos. While some of her siblings are bold and rowdy, Margarita is the type to watch, think, and then carefully join in once she feels safe. She enjoys being held and settles nicely once she knows she is secure. She bonds closely to her person and really seeks comfort and reassurance from humans she trusts.

This litter came from a hoarding situation of more than 30 Chihuahuas. One of our rescue partners reached out for help and we stepped in immediately. The puppies were safely removed the first week of January and placed into a loving foster home before coming to us. Because of their early environment, everything in the world is still very new to them, and Margarita especially appreciates patience and kindness while she learns.

We expect Margarita to stay small as an adult. She will be adopted with her age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and spay covered per adoption contract when she is old enough. Like any young puppy, she will need continued socialization, house training, and routine to help her grow into a confident adult dog.

Margarita would do best in a calm, patient home that understands shy puppies blossom with time. She is not the kind of puppy who will be instantly confident in a busy or chaotic environment, but in the right home she will become extremely devoted and affectionate. Her adopter should be prepared to go slowly, provide gentle structure, and let her build confidence at her own pace. Once she feels safe, Margarita is the type of little dog who will attach deeply and be a very loyal companion.
