Malibu

Malibu is a Chihuahua mix puppy born 11/27/25. She is one of the two girls in the litter and the smallest of the group.

Malibu is the runt, but she does not act like one. She is confident, affectionate, and incredibly people oriented. She loves being held and immediately showers you with kisses when picked up. She is happiest curled up on a person and would gladly spend her day snuggling if allowed. Despite her tiny size, she stands up for herself with her siblings and is not easily pushed around. She also has a funny independent streak and likes to climb onto toys or baskets and nap in her own little spots.

Malibu came to us after being rescued along with her siblings and mom, Brandy, from a hoarding situation involving over 30 Chihuahuas. We were contacted by a rescue partner and brought the family into safety during the first week of January. After growing up in a loving foster home, she is now at our Van Nuys rescue waiting for a forever home.

She is expected to stay very petite as an adult, likely even smaller than her mother. She will be fully vetted including vaccinations, microchip, and spay when age appropriate.

Malibu would do best in a home without large dogs due to her tiny size. She is ideal for someone wanting a true companion dog and would thrive with someone who enjoys carrying their dog, cuddling, and including her in daily life.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity.
