DESCRIPTION
Meet Shadow ??
Shadow is a calm and affectionate 7-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix is the perfect little companion at just 12 pounds. Shadow has a sweet, loving personality and just wants to be close to his people—like his name suggests!
Whether that means curling up in your lap, snuggling under the covers, or joining you for a car ride (pup cup optional but highly recommended!), he prefers to be by your side!
Shadow house trained, crate trained, and knows commands like "sit" and "come." He loves kids, adults, cats, and other dogs (with proper introductions), and he still enjoys running and playing—especially chasing squirrels and batting around a ball, even if he’s not the best at returning it. Shadow is not a fan of fireworks or thunderstorms (and generally anything that goes BOOM)
If you are looking for your next little shadow, Shadow just may be it!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
ABOUT: CHIHUAHUA DOG BREED
The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
