Max is such a sweet affectionate little man who loves everyone all the same, men, women, doggies, kittles…anyone willing to give him belly rubs, and affection has won his heart.
He is a Chihuahua mix, 12 years old and weighs 11 lbs.
Max is a couch potato and likes to nap, but he enjoys walks and he likes to walk around the yard. He gets along great with other dogs but mostly cares about his favorite people and enjoyed his one on one time.
Max would love a family who has the time to spend with him, We rescued him from a high kill facility and made sure he received full medical care before being up for adoption. He has a very forgiving attitude, loves other dogs, big and small. Interacts with them very gently and happily, sharing and cuddling.
He is ready to find his forever family and spend his time spreading love and joy.

His foster says,
“I think he would thrive with a retired couple/person or someone working from home, so he knows he's not alone.
He eats in his kennel but has no use for it otherwise.
He doesn't bark if you leave his sight for a few minutes like going to the garage. He stands near the door waiting for you. He just doesn't like to be confined.
He's continuing to come out of his shell and really is a sweet boy who has so much love to give and only wants the same in return.
Once he's comfortable he will give tiny kisses on your nose and will help clean your feet or hands or any exposed part of you. He doesn't communicate well when he needs to potty, but can at times go to the door so you just have to be aware. I think he would thrive with a doggy door and love coming and going to enjoy the warm days... when they return.
He prefers to sleep near someone but will settle in his bed as long as he knows you're still there.”

Max is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, Neutered and had a recent Dental.
