DESCRIPTION
Meet Dumplin! This adorable 4-year-old girl came to us along with her sister, Tootsie (also available for adoption!), from a high-kill shelter in Bakersfield. Both were very overweight when they arrived, but Dumplin is now on her fitness journey and currently weighs about 20 pounds. Believed to be a Chihuahua/Frenchie mix, she's as cute as her name suggests!
Dumplin takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once she does, watch out-she'll want to be around you or in your lap all the time! She's potty trained and does well in her crate. Dumplin is a good walker and enjoys her walks, even with many other dogs around. When she gets really excited, she wriggles her butt and body side to side in the most hilarious and dramatic fashion!
Dumplin can be a little resource guarding with her food bowl, likely due to her diet struggles, but she's totally fine as long as she's fed separately from other dogs. Otherwise, she lives harmoniously with puppies and dogs of all sizes.
Dumplin is looking for a home who will continue to support her health journey and return the undying love she exudes. Could that be you?
