Chihuahua and Dachshund Dogs Available for Adoption

Luna is a 5 year old spayed female Chi-weenie mix dog that weighs around 13 lbs. She is microchippped and up to date with shots.
Luna had a rough start before coming into our facility. She was found a really long way between towns on a highway in Oklahoma. She was so loyal to the people who dumped her there that she avoided a trap & any person she saw. Surviving on road kill waiting for her people to come back to get her. She was skin & bones when she finally went into trap for a meal and was caught. She isn’t without some scars because of this ordeal. Since she was starving she will eat way to fast and a puzzle feed bowl may benefit her. She is leary of going outside alone. She does smile and looks like she is going to bite but she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She does like to sleep under the covers with her human. She hasn’t been tested with kids. Seems to get along with other dogs but would have to meet them to determine compatibility Adoption fee is $200.

If you are interested in adopting an animal after viewing it an adoption Application should be filled out and left with the volunteers. Once the Adoption Application is reviewed and a background check is done someone from the shelter will be in contact with you.
