Meet Paloma, an 8-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, weighing 7 pounds (as of 3/5/26). This girl was unfortunately part of a hoarding case, but fortunately she's more than ready to find her fur-ever home!

Don't be fooled by her size! She may be small, but Paloma is mighty! In fact, she could probably lift your couch with a single paw! Doesn't mean she will, but she could. This fun pup loves to play, especially with other dogs. She would thrive in a house with other playful pets as her siblings. She also likes cats and kids too.

Her favorite toy is anything with a squeaker so definitely get those in bulk while you're at it! You might not be able to think with all the squeaking, but you won't even mind because Paloma will be happy. And nothing is more important than keeping this adorable baby happy! When she isn't chewing on a toy she'll want to cuddle in your lap which more than makes up for the squeaking. You're welcome.

Since Paloma is a young dog, she's still working on leashes, collars, harness and recall along with crate training. She'll also need some love and patience when it comes to potty training, but she's been using potty pads and is going outside 70% of the time! It's a solid "C" but you know what they say, C's get degrees!

Paloma would be an amazing companion! Adopt her today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Paloma, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
