Meet Moakie, this sweet 13 year old Beagle–Chihuahua mix that is 19 lbs, she is the definition of a tender soul. She’s calm, affectionate, and deeply appreciative of every bit of kindness shown to her. At this stage of life, she’s looking for a peaceful home where she can enjoy comfort, routine, and the quiet companionship of someone who loves senior dogs.

🌟 Personality

She has a soft, trusting nature and enjoys simply being near her people. She’s content with cozy beds, gentle pets, and slow, easy days. Her presence brings a sense of calm to any room.

🐶 Daily Needs & Comfort

Because of her age and health, she does best with a few manageable accommodations that help her stay comfortable:

• Water intake monitoring to support her overall well being
• Someone who works from home or home most of the time.
• No more than 3 stairs, as her mobility is limited
• Short, easy outings rather than long walks
• A predictable routine and a quiet environment
These needs are simple to support and make a big difference in helping her feel safe and cared for.

She would thrive in a calm household—whether with a single adopter, a couple, or a family with older children who understand how to move gently around a senior dog. A home without stairs is ideal, or one where she can stay on a single level.

She is spayed, up to date on veterinary care, microchipped and receiving loving support through Yankee Chihuahua Rescue & Adoption. Moakie is ready to join her new family. We’re happy to guide adopters on how to maintain her comfort and routine.

💲 Adoption Fee
Moakie’s adoption fee is $200, which helps offset a portion of her veterinary care and supports the rescue’s mission to help other dogs in need.
