Chihuahua and Australian Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Baxter: Baxter is a little 4 month old (as of February 2026) unique mix of maybe chihuahua and Australian shepherd or papillon (best guess) that weighs about 14 pounds. Baxter was taken in by animal control in Brownsville, Tennessee and he made his way into our rescue. Baxter is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Baxter is a super sweet and adorable pup! Baxter is very gentle albeit a bit shy. Baxter gets along with other dogs in his foster house and is quite content to sit in whatever lap is available for extended periods of time! As a puppy, Baxter will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Baxter to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Baxter is up to date on his puppy shots and already neutered.
