At just 10 months old and 25 pounds, this handsome Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the perfect mix of playful pup and devoted companion.
Chief came into rescue as a local owner surrender, and while new situations can make him a little shy at first, it doesn’t take long for his true personality to shine. Give him a little time, and he’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your very best friend.
Chief absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with canine companions. He’s a great playmate and especially enjoys tearing around the yard in full zoomie mode with his buddies. Because of his love for running and playing, a physically fenced yard is a must for this happy little guy. When it comes to toys, Chief has excellent taste—chew toys, antlers, and stuffies with squeakies are all high on his favorites list.
At night, Chief is happiest, curled up sleeping with his foster parents, soaking in all the comfort and closeness he can get. He is both house trained and kennel trained, though housetraining took a little extra time for him. He understands what to do, but will do best with a routine and a family that can let him out a bit more frequently as he continues to build consistency.
Chief would love a home where someone is around much of the time. He bonds closely with his people and isn’t the kind of dog who wants to spend long days kenneled—he’s happiest being part of the daily rhythm of home life.
Chief is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped.
