Meet Kaya!
Kaya is an 18-month-old Cattle Dog / Shar Pei mix who was sadly left abandoned at a park, but you would never know it by her sweet and loving personality. She weighs about 46 lbs and has the most beautiful blue eyes that will melt your heart.
Kaya is very friendly and dog-friendly, loves people, and enjoys spending time with her humans. She does great on a leash, knows “stay” and “down,” and is potty trained. She has done well with the run of the house but is also comfortable in a crate if needed.
Like many young dogs, Kaya gets little bursts of energy (zoomies!), then happily crashes out for a nap. Outside of those short play sessions, she’s actually a pretty low-energy girl who just enjoys relaxing nearby.
She loves toys, will fetch and retrieve, and can keep herself entertained. Her favorite things are belly rubs, playtime, and being close to her people.
Kaya would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, loyal, playful dog with a calm side too.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
