Cattle Dog and Rat Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Sometimes people are so cruel to dogs. Unfortunately, Lachlan and his sister, Mirri, experienced that first hand. They were dumped on a road in AL and sat there waiting for their owner to come back and claim them. Luckily they were saved by a passerby and made their way into rescue. Despite the treatment by his original owner, Lachlan remains sweet, social, loving, and playful. We believe he is a Cattle Dog possibly Rat Terrier mix based on his looks but the DNA is often surprising. He will need an active family that will give him daily exercise and playtime. As he's mostly been outside/in boarding he may need some help with potty training but the older dogs usually get it very quickly. He's a compact guy weighing about 35 lbs but will likely not get larger than 40. He is currently in AL but we are hoping to bring him to Maine at the end of February.
