DESCRIPTION
Meet Iris! Iris is looking for her forever home. Iris is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd Mix 50% Australian Shepherd; 29% American Bully; 13% "Supermutt" - mix
She would do well with a home with a large fenced yard as she loves to run and be chased and get the zoomies. She is incredibly social and wants to befriend all other dogs that she meets, but is a bit cautious with strangers, especially tall big men or people with big hats and beards, she gets nervous and very barky, otherwise she is not a vocal dog. She has never once shown any aggression, but instead can be a bit skittish with loud or unexpected noises. She's a big old baby in that sense. She will bark when strangers come to the door so is very protective, but again has not shown any aggression with people or animals. She loves to cuddle and be played or wrestled with. Iris would ideally thrive in a home with a large fenced yard, kids and other dogs. She is friendly with cats, and wants to play and may chase. She loves other dogs and wants to play and be friends with all of them, and she would thrive in a family with kids who would roughhouse and play and run with her.
Iris attended a 10 Day Puppy Training with Premier Canine PNW. She knows, Sit, Down, Place and is crate trained. She is still working on housebreaking but is getting better as long as someone is diligent about making sure she goes out each hour. She is very eager to please and with dedicated training she would do well with off leash work or agility training. Interested in adding Iris to your pack? Apply on our site!
ABOUT: CATTLE DOG DOG BREED
The Cattle Dog is a diligent and robust herding breed known for its agility, intelligence, and hardworking nature. Originating in Australia, Cattle Dogs are highly energetic and require ample exercise and mental stimulation. With their remarkable problem solving skills and unwavering loyalty, they excel in various canine activities and make excellent companions for active owners. Their distinctive blue or red coat, sturdy build, and alert expression reflect their heritage as versatile working dogs.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
