Cattle dogs are incredibly smart, driven, and active-they are not easy, low-key companions and are not a fit for every home.

Boston will need significant daily exercise, structure, and ongoing training. This is a breed that thrives when given a job, consistency, and clear leadership. Without that, they will create their own outlets, which can include herding behaviors, nipping, and high-intensity energy.

He is a puppy, which means he's still learning everything-house training, manners, and how to appropriately channel his instincts. His adopter should be prepared for the time and commitment that comes with raising a working-breed dog.

Boston would do best with an active adopter who has experience with herding breeds or is ready to fully commit to learning and meeting his needs. He is not a "take him for a walk and call it a day" kind of dog.

In the right home, Boston has the potential to be an incredibly loyal, fun, and impressive companion-but he will require the time, energy, and dedication to get him there.
