Cattle Dog and Coonhound Dogs Available for Adoption

Dasher is a 14-week-old puppy who appears to be a mix of several wonderful breeds—possibly some terrier, spaniel, Aussie, and more—all blended into one perfect little soul. He’s expected to be around 40 pounds when fully grown.

This sweet boy is pure affection. Dasher absolutely loves belly rubs, and when you tell him he’s a good boy, he completely melts into you. He’s gentle, loving, and thrives on human connection.

Dasher was rescued from euthanasia row at a high-kill Texas animal shelter, and his life was spared for a reason. He’s here to be a blessing—and we know he’ll bring endless love, joy, and gratitude to the family lucky enough to call him their own.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soft heart and a whole lot of love to give, Dasher may be your perfect match.

This dog is fostered in Texas and is available to travel north on our scheduled trips, which run at least twice each month.

• We cannot do meet-and-greets. The trip is long and demanding, and it would not be safe or fair for a dog or puppy to travel north and then return to Texas.

• Green Bay area adopters meet in Fond du Lac
• Joliet & Davenport area adopters meet in Oglesby or Roscoe
• Milwaukee area adopters: we do not have a Milwaukee stop, but we do stop in Sun Prairie, Fond du Lac, and Roscoe (near Rockford)

Medical & Spay/Neuter Information:
Most puppies travel with two rounds of vaccines, and sometimes three. Occasionally, we may not have had a puppy long enough for a second round.

Puppies under 6–8 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee.

About Our Rescue
Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Adoption proceeds go directly toward:
• Spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana
• Medical care for rescued puppies and dogs
• Emergency veterinary assistance for families in need when possible

All dogs remain in Texas foster homes until adopted.

Breed Disclaimer:
Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes.
