Sweetness is a 10-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with a truly special spirit and a heart full of love. As a double merle, she is deaf and partially blind, but she doesn’t let that slow her down—she navigates her world with resilience, curiosity, and a gentle, trusting nature.

She’s incredibly sweet and forms strong bonds with her people, finding comfort in routine, patience, and guidance. Sweetness thrives on connection and does best with clear structure and positive reinforcement to help her feel safe and confident. Once she trusts you, her affectionate, loyal personality shines brightly.

Sweetness will need an experienced adopter who understands her unique needs and is committed to helping her succeed. With the right home, she will blossom into an incredibly devoted companion. If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly special dog, Sweetness is ready to show you just how much love she has to give.

Sweetness's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!

A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application.
