Catahoula Leopard Dog Dogs Available for Adoption

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Harlow Huzzah, a 10-week-old Catahoula Leopard mix, weighing 6 pounds (as of 4/5/26). Abandoned at a week old and raised by fosters in Tennessee, the HUZZAH litter have thrived! We don’t know the complete mix of these pups, but we do know the mother was a Catahoula mix. These babies live like life's a Renaissance Faire and they hope you'll join in!

Harlow is a very curious and friendly girl who's truly the life of the Renaissance Faire! She can't wait to show you how to build your confidence so you can finally talk to that knight in shining armor you've been eyeing across Ye Olde bar. Harlow is the perfect wingwoman because she's observant, spirited and absolutely adores her people. Harlow is also great with other dogs and loves children. She's the perfect companion for any fun that serves giant turkey legs!

The Huzzah litter are very outgoing, love playing with each other and are just a blast all around. They don't have experience with cats yet, but due to their breed, they may grow up to have a high prey drive that might not be suitable for cats. Only time will tell.

Since they're still teensy babies, they'll need help getting used to crates, leashes, commands, and potty training. Once they master all the puppy basics, they'll be so happy, they'll throw you a surprise party with cake, ice cream and confetti! And it's not even your birthday! What are you waiting for? All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
