Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Daisy is a sweet, friendly, approx. 3-yr-old girl who has lost her home due to her owner's illness.

She loves people of all ages and is a bit shy, but warms quickly and loves attention. She is crate-trained, and will need some practice walking on leash, but learns fast. Her Catahoula hound half needs mental activity and exercise, and her pitty half just needs a warm lap!

Daisy even served her owner by laying on her chest during her owner's anxiety episodes.

She is looking for a forever home with no other dogs, and a dog-savvy, patient owner who is willing to work her through her fears. Daisy has not been socialized for a few years due to her owner's illness, so is fearful of many environmental stimuli and other dogs on leash or dogs who approach her crate. However, crated dogs don't seem to bother her. She did not have regular access to a yard so has been trained to use pee pads.

Daisy was well-loved in her former home, and is confused at all the big changes in her life lately. She also is looking for a foster home with no other animals and a foster parent willing to do some training and confidence-building with her.


WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

ADOPTION FEE of $340 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage or our
